तिने आपला मुलगा रोहित वेमुला ( आंबेडकर स्टुडंट्स असोसिएशनचे नेते) यांनी काम सुरू केले आहे, ज्याने २०१ Hyderabad मध्ये हैदराबाद विद्यापीठात आत्महत्या केली. विद्यापीठे आणि उच्च शिक्षण संस्थांमध्ये जातीभेद संपविण्याच्या प्रयत्नात आहेत. [५]
