शुद्धलेखनाबद्दल संकल्पला मी माझे मत कळवले होते. तेच येथे उद्धृत करतो.

सद्यस्थितीत तरी दिसलेल्या चुका दुरुस्त करणे हाच मार्ग दिसतो. मराठी विकिपिडीया हा community property असल्यामुळे जनसामान्यांच्या मराठी शुद्धलेखनप्रवीणतेचे(?!??!!!) प्रतिबिंब येथे दिसते.....

यावर पहिला उपाय म्हणजे शुद्धलेखनाचे नियम गोळा करुन त्याचे एक पान तयार करणे व प्रत्येक नवीन सदस्यास ते वाचण्यास प्रवृत्त करणे. अर्थात, हे नियम वाचून, लक्षात ठेवुन वापरण्यास नवीन सदस्यास थोडा वेळ लागेल. परंतु याजोगे एक reference राहील. यातही असे नियम वाचून मुद्दाम चुका करणारे महाभागही असतातच.

इंग्लिश विकिपिडीयावर मंडळींनी विभागवार पाने वाटून घेतलेली आहेत. प्रत्येक (उत्साही) सदस्य पाच-पन्नास पानांवर लक्ष ठेवून असतो व त्यातील चुका दुरुस्त करीत असतो. मराठी विकिपिडियावर अधिकाधिक सदस्य आल्यास हे करता येईल.

याशिवाय, माहितगारने खालील नमूद केले.

In addition to that, I welcome your enthusiasm and offer to volunteer. I'd suggest putting together a page/article with marathi spelling rules and/or grammar rules. This page can be used to help users correct their own spelling and also a reference article for editors making spelling/grammatical changes.

Let me know if you need any administrative (or otherwise) help doing this.

We need to understand that as a community resource, we are in charge of cleaning up the mess left here by the community. B****ing and moaning about it (like I have heard from multiple people on manogat and elsewhere) will not help!

Dear Mandar,Abhay and Sankalp,

If some people (including myself) are reading Marathi Unicode using "Win98 and I.E.6" their reaction is going to be worst.

• • Leave "Win98 and I.E.6" apart What Mr.Aun Phadake says in his book "Marathi Lekhan-Kosh" is "Marathi Sahity Mandal " has recommended and Govt of Maharashtra has endorsed 18 'Shudha lekhana' rules .He checked all "Balbharati" books and found only 8 out of 18 are taught even in Marathi Schools is an eye opener.

• • These rules are vey much dependent on whether a word's origin is from Sanskrit or Non sanskrit.Many of us including myself have forgotten sanskrit which we learned and there are millions who do not know sanskrit.and not only that many would have lost touch of writing in Marathi over the years.

• • The new generations are coming out of english medium schools and there are traditionaly Non Marathi families studying out of Marathi medium specialy south indians ,gujrathi and marwaris.We can not expect of them also to be correct every time.

This is not to say 'Shuddha Lekhan is not important but as Abhay correctly says we need to find ways and some places mend our fences.

मी मान्य करतो की शुद्धलेखन भाषेचा महत्त्वाचा भाग आहे. पण शुद्धलेखनाचे नियम शास्त्रातील नियमांसारखे नाहीत. मला मराठी माध्यामात शिकुनही शुद्धलेखन कधीच जमले नाही. पण मी विकिपिडीयावर शास्त्र आणि संगणक विषयावरील माहिती भरू शकतो. त्यामुळे लोकांना थोडी माहितीही मिळेल आणि बाकीचे लोक दुरस्तही करू शकतील. वर काही नसण्यापेक्षा मोडके असलेले बरे. लोकांना सांगीतले की ते फार शुद्धलेखनाच्या चुका करत आहेत तर ते बुजण्याची व लेखन कमी करण्याची शक्यता आहे.

I believe the culprit is Win98. I use IE 6.02 on win2k/XP and it works just fine. Win 98 is obsolete. Even Micorsoft does not support it. Eventually, users will move away from it and this will be a non-issue. In the meanwhile, may I suggest looking at Linux (wink wink) :-D

I totally agree with कोल्हापुरी in that we should let people write as they would. No point turning away SME's for bad spelling/grammar. Only they can share the wealth of knowledge they possess. Let's let them give us the content. We will fix the form. We will find automated/efficient ways of doing this.

I'd like to find those 18 rules from an authenticated source and put those up on this wiki. Does anyone have links to it?

It's GREAT to see more people get involved in the disucussion here in a positive manner.

'काही नसण्यापेक्षा मोडके बरे' हा विचार मराठी विकिपीडिया आता तुलनेनी छोट्या स्वरुपात/ आवाक्यात असल्यामुळे ठीक आहे. परंतु जेव्हा मराठी विकिपीडियावरील लेखांची संख्या वाढत जाईल, तेव्हा 'शुद्धलेखन, आशय आणि मांडणी या तीन पैलूंमध्ये quality control करणे आत्यंतिक गरजेचे ठरणार आहे. त्यामुळे शुद्धलेखनाचा बागुलबुवा उभा करायचा नसला तरी शुद्धलेखनाबद्दल जागरूकपणा ठेवला पाहिजे. आणि मला वाटतं, ही गोष्ट जमणं अवघड नाही.. आपण भारतीय English मधल्या स्पेलिंग व व्याकरणाच्या नियमांबद्दल काटेकोर, जागरूक राहू शकतो तर आपल्याच भाषांबद्दल ही शिस्त अंगी बाणवणे काही अवघड नाही. उपायांमध्ये माहितगार, अभय, मंदार यांनी सुचवलेले तोडगे योजणे योग्य आहे:

1. नवीन सदस्यांना शुद्धलेखनाच्या नियमावली लेखातून जाण्यास प्रवृत्त करणे (जे आताही केले जात आहेच.). शुद्धलेखनाविषयी मनोगतावरील शुद्धलेखन चिकित्सकासारख्या एखाद्या टूलची लिंक/ बटन 'Save Page', 'Show Preview' या बटनांच्या जोडीने देणे.
2. माहितगारांनी उल्लेख केलेल्या interwiki robots किंवा तत्सम तंत्रांबद्दल माहिती मिळवणे. robots सारख्या तंत्रांनी सद्यस्थितीतल्या बर्‍याच पानांवर विखुरलेल्या शुद्धलेखनाच्या चुका (उदा.: इसवीसनांचे 'इ.स' ऐवजी 'ई.स.' असे चुकीचे लघुरूप) सुधारायला मोठी मदत होईल.
3. मंदार यांनी म्हटल्याप्रमाणे शुद्धलेखनविषयक संपादन करणारा ग्रुप सक्रीय करून नियोजन आणि समन्यव करून लेख सुधारणे. खरंतर वेगवेगळ्या विभागांचे वेगवेगळ्या सक्रीय ग्रुप्सतर्फे quality control पुढेमागे करावेच लागणार आहे, तेव्हा त्यादृष्टीने वाटचालीस सुरुवात करणे.
