दलित इतिहास महिना
दलित हिस्ट्री मंथ (दलित इतिहास महिना) दलित किंवा अनुसूचित जाती आणि अनुसूचित जमातीतील महत्त्वाचे लोक आणि घटना लक्षात घेऊन साजरा केला जाणारा एक वार्षिक कार्यक्रम आहे.[१][२] बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांच्या अनुयायांनी हे एप्रिलमध्ये जगभर साजरे केले.[३][४] या महिन्यात चर्चा,[५] कथाकथन,[६] इतिहास प्रकल्प,[७] माध्यमातील विशेष प्रकाशने,[८] आणि कलाकृती[९] इ. आयोजित केल्या जातात.[१०][११]
इतिहास[संपादन]
ब्लॅक हिस्ट्री मंथ यापासून प्रेरित होऊन दलित महिलांच्या एका गटाने २०१३ मध्ये दलित हिस्ट्री मंथ सुरू केला.[१२] संघपाली अरुणा यांनी दलित, आदिवासी आणि बहुजन इतिहास आणि संस्कृती यांचे संकलन करण्यासाठी दलित हिस्ट्री मंथ प्रकल्प सुरू केला.[१३][१४] शिकागो येथे कलर ऑफ व्हॉईलंस परिषदेत झालेल्या चर्चेच्या वेळी संघपाली अरुणा आणि थेंमोझी सौंदराराजन यांनी कल्पना मांडली.[१५][१६]
महत्त्व[संपादन]
भारतात बेकायदेशीर असूनही दलितांसोबत त्यांच्या जातीमुळे भेदभाव केला जातो.[१७][१८][१९] दलित इतिहास महिन्यात मुख्य प्रवाहातील लेखकांद्वारे भारतीय इतिहासात दलितांचे दुर्लक्ष आणि अनुपस्थिती यावर चर्चा केली जाते.[२०] दलित जनतेच्या प्रश्नांवर नागरिक विचार करतात.[२१]
