If a batsman stops the ball going to hit the wickets can't be given out for hitting the ball twice.
- If the batsman stops such a ball with his bat and fielders appeal, he can be given out.
- The batsman is perfectly within the laws if he kicks it away.
- However, if the ball is going towards the wickets after hitting a fielder or the wicketkeeper and the batsman stops the ball, either with his bat, boots or any other part of his body, he can be given out obstructing the field, if the fielders appeal.
