येथे ज्या-त्या दुव्यावर (इंग्रजी विकीपीडिया मधले लेख जसे च्या तसे उतरवून वा) त्यांचे दुवा देऊन भाषांतरास ध्यावेत का? (ज्यांचा दर्जा पुढील संपादनात सुधारला जाईल.) 'नव्या लेखात काय लिहायचे' या अडचणीमुळे अनेक लेख रिकामे पडून आहेत. याला भाषांतराचे स्वरूप दिल्यास (सुरुवात म्हणून) नव्या विकिपीडियन्स ना सहभागास उत्तेजना मिळेल असे वाटते. -अशिन्तोष

जरूर. भाषांतर जरी १००% बरोबर नसले तरी पर्वा नाही. सुधारण्यास अनेक मंडळी तयार आहेत.

एक विनंती की अश्या लेखांना एका विशिष्ट यादीत घालावे, म्हणजे भाषांतरकारांना शोधण्यास सोपे जाईल.

उदा. रासायनीक अभियांत्रिकी अश्या सगळ्या लेखांसाठी एक नवीन यादी [ [Category:भाषांतर ]] तयार केली आहे.

देवनागरी आकडे

विकीवरील सर्व आकडे देवनागरीतून दिसतील यासाठी काय करावे लागेल? म्हणजेच 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ऐवजी ०,१,२,३,४,५,६,७,८,९. - अशिन्तोष

There is one file named 'LanguageMr.php' on meta.wikimedia.org site. We need to translate it completely and ask Wikimedia administrators to make it effective.

We have taken this as high priority issue.

महाविकि,

The idea was to change it every month, if not every week/day. There are not enough contributors on marathi wikipedia to make that happen.

The next featured article on the front-page is गोदावरी, but it has not been changed pending a review of the article for facts/spellings/grammar by a knowledgeable contributor.

Once that is done, the front page will be updated in a day or two after that.

Thanks to Eukesh for his good effort.In principle I support this Idea of having an Index.

There can be different ways of doing it.As Eukesh said Bangali Wiki is having this facility on front page.Where as

English Wiki Mainpage takes you to similler detail alphabetical indexing.

Hindi wiki offers all Devanagari Alphabets whenever you edit any article at the bottom of edit page.

Any way I welcome and support this positive suggestion.

मुखपृष्ठात ठिकठिकाणी लिहिलेल्या 'Wikipedia' शब्दाच्या देवनागरीतील लेखनात आणि top-left corner ला दिसणार्‍या लोगोमधील देवनागरी लेखनात एकवाक्यता नाही. या दुरुस्त्या करणे आवश्यक आहे.

Correct spelling of wikipedia in marathi is विकिपिडीया, with all but the last 'i' sound being short.

The logo needs to be fixed. I had changed text to reflect विकिपिडीया everywhere else. Kindly revert back.

As of now I am suggesting to start the project pages only.Featured छायाचित्र may be an easier project with minor translations. As en wiki has news for Marathi wiki it may prove a much distant dream so rather why not think of 365 non-copyright poems or may be in form of antakShari I belive that wont atract copy right; I am thinking about its ease.

Namespace मुखपृष्ठ location

I vote for adding content to it. I have not this feature on many other wikipedias, so it could be one of our distinguishing features. It is a nice lead-in to the day's main page.

I have been trying to add an article every day, but would not mind if another volunteer steps in to pick up when I am unable to do so. Once 366 such articles are created, they only need be updated once in a while.

Abhay,seems to have worked on dinvishesh quite a bit.

• Can we first make out which exact dates have null details.We can first fix up those many days .fixing few hundred pages wont be a big job if we all get togather.
• another thing I have observed is few new visitors putting in dinvisheSha info by creating new uncategorised pages.certaily that wont help the main purpose.So we need to have properguideline for new people in this respect.

New site notice has a better look,no doubt! But I am not sure if yellow back ground colour of "सुस्वागतम्" Template is rightly matching?

A lot of spelling mistakes in Marathi language words.

Hi everybody on Wikipedia,

While going through the MARATHI Wikipedia words and script, I found that a lot of spelling mistakes have occurred in almost every word, every sentence. It is a pitiable matter while reading the text shown to the readers. Besides, it becomes a poor show of presenting the rich language like Marathi. Also it is cumbersome while reading the text and hence tedious.

Every care should be taken to present your roadshow on the right path and also see that any one who is a Marathi Reader should be satisfied and gain the knowledge, joy.

इतिहास = इितहास

विकिपीडिया = िविकपीिडया

विषय = िवषय

अधिक माहितीसाठी = अिधक मािहेतीसाठी

नवीन खिडकीत उघडते = नवीन िखडकीत उघडते

It depends on the software you're using to type (baraha, windows built-in font support, etc). Most will need you to type the consonant before the vowel.

sorry, im not able to write in marathi due to technical prob.. 'wikipedia' has made a big mistake regarding India's national language..

under the heading, " आणि हे आपणास माहीत आहे का? ", a line is given :

की भारतात २२ शासकीय राजभाषा आहेत पण एकही राष्ट्रभाषा नाही...?

it is half wrong statement.. india has national language and its name is HINDI.. i request all of u to pass on this msg to wikipedia as im visiting this site first time so not able to get what to do for passing this msg to wikipedia..

हिंदी आपली राष्ट्रभाषा नाही आहे. It is just one of the official languages of India and is used in every government communication.
