In the 1860s Lockyer became fascinated by electromagnetic spectroscopy as an analytical tool for determining the composition of heavenly bodies. He conducted his research from his new home in West Hampstead, with a 6¼ inch telescope which he had already used in Wimbledon.[१]
With this Reference it is 100% clear that Helium was not discovered by Lockyer in India, but at home in the UK. --Stone (चर्चा) ०३:२९, २४ ऑगस्ट २०१५ (IST)
