शुजात हुसेन
चौधरी शुजात हुसैन (२७ जानेवारी, १९४०:गुजरात, पंजाब, ब्रिटिश भारत - ) हे पाकिस्तानचे १६वे पंतप्रधान आहेत [१] [२] [३] हुसेन हे २००४ पासून पाकिस्तान मुस्लिम लीग (क्यू) [४] [५] [६] चे पक्षाध्यक्ष आहेत.
चौधरी हे पाकिस्तानच्या पंजाब प्रांतातील व्यापारी-उद्योगपती कुटुंबातील आहेत. [७] त्यांनी एफसी कॉलेज विद्यापीठ आणि पंजाब विद्यापीठातून पदवी मिळवली. त्यानंतर त्यांनी आपल्या कौटुंबिक व्यवसायात भाग घेतला.[७] १९८५ च्या पक्षहीन निवडणुकांमध्ये निवडून आल्यावर ते मुहम्मद जुनेजो यांच्या सरकारमध्ये उद्योग मंत्री झाले. ते या पदावर १९८८ पर्यंत होते. [८] नंतर १९९० पर्यंत ते इस्लामिक डेमोक्रॅटिक अलायन्स (आयडीए) मध्ये शामील झाले आणि त्यांनी पुराणमतवाद पुढे केला. हे १९३३ मध्ये नवाझ शरीफ यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील पाकिस्तान मुस्लिम लीग (PML) मध्ये सामील झाले [८] आणि नवाझ शरीफ यांच्या सरकारमध्ये १९९० ते १९९३ आणि १९९७ ते १९९९ अशा दोन कालावधीत गृहमंत्री म्हणून काम केले. १९९९मध्ये नवाझ शरीफ यांच्याशी असलेली निष्ठा झुगारून देउन हुसेन यांनी १९९९ नंतर निरंकुश नेते परवेझ मुशर्रफ यांची पाठराखण केली. [९]
हुसैन यांचे कुटुंब राष्ट्रीय राजकारणात प्रभावशाली राहिले आहे. त्यांचे लहान चुलत भाऊ परवेझ इलाही हे मुशर्रफ यांच्या लष्करी राजवटीत २००२ ते २००७ पर्यंत पंजाबचे मुख्यमंत्री होते.

This very thinking led the Pakistan Muslim League and its allied parties to select Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz as the next executive head of the country. My nomination by Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and nomination of Shaukat Aziz after consulting the President were in line with the set traditions. There should be no hue and cry over such technicalities
