If you look above "The image is public" under the "Additional Information" section you can clearly see "All rights reserved." Flickr allows users to keep some images private not viewable by others and some images public that is viewable by others. resolution

I'm sure there's some style-sheet setting that allows wiktionary to look the same at lower resolution. I will try to find it. If you see it, let me know. The reason it looks bad on your PC is lower resolution. I'm afraid that the number of people with 800x600 resolution are already in the minority and that number will only shrink rapidly further as newer and cheaper hardware comes around that supports higher resolution. (I have not even tried looking at 1600x900 or higher resolution, but I'm sure it's as ugly as 800x600...) Right now, wikipedia looks reasonably ok on resolutions from 1024x768 - 1400x1050, which is sort of middle of the road.

As for the document images, look at them again :-) Align right edge of the navbar with the menubar of IE in the picture. For wikipedia, it is at the right edge of the 'refresh' button. For wiktionary, it is at the right edge of the 'home' button! Unless, of course, your resolution is affecting those images too!

Well I have not done any thing technical as such at Marathi Wiktionary other than following foot steps of Mr-Wikipedia admins's changes to media wiki files :) ; usualy I copy as it is on monthly basis for language localisation(marathikaraN) else is I changed monobook for following foot step of nepal bhasha to customise for devanagari .I do not know, but I do very preliminery HTML commond's copy pasting by trial and error at times- not at wiktionary media wiki files. So I am not a techie in any sense.

Else putting your request to other language techies I will do that. If you have any specific message format in mind you can forward that message to me.I will forward the same to other wiki techie/language places as needed Mahitgar 09:58, 24 जानेवारी 2007 (UTC)

Element width

Thanks for your research. Preliminary scan did not reveal anything that would cause for it to flow over. Everything is laid out with relative widths (in percentages, rather than pixel sizes.) It does not flow over on my screen so finding it is doubly difficult. But I'll take a closer look later, when I can spare a continuous slot of time to it.

This being the front page, I do not want to change things around in a rush.

It's no trouble at all! The reason I (sometimes) seem slow in implementing a change is that as an admin, I have to make sure that a change made to cater to one requirement does not impact other users/objects of the system.

I commend you in taking the initiative and researching this issue, even though you have no real technical background.

Requesting attention while doing help pages mergers.

Hi,Good evening , I am sure you are improving help pages for good no doubt, only I want to bring your attention that Wikipedia has multiple entry and navigation points ,May be redirecting pages while doing mergers is better than deleting any of those ; untill we clearly know that it is not affecting smooth navigation in any way.Some of the page might have been linked even from out side of Wikipedia like Yahoo Groups , en/hi wiki etc. If possible use येथे काय जोडले आहे of sadhan peti that will help in giving limited idea the page is linked with which other pages.

Oh understood you are deleting template and not the madat kendra. मार्गक्र्मण साच्यांप्रमाणेच सुचालन साचे एका संबधीत पानाकडून दुसर्‍या संबधीत पानाकडे सुलभ पद्धतीने जाण्या करिता(नॅव्हीगेशन करीता) आहेत. मार्गक्रमण साचे लेखांच्या तळाशी किंवा शिर्षश्स्थानी देता येतात.तर सुचालन साचे लेखाच्या उजवी कडे येतील. अशीच सुचालन साच्यांची रचना सुचालन प्रकल्प साच्यातही केली आहे.

Your suggestion is good to bifurcate them and may be we make a separate page for non marathi list or we make separate 'margakraman' templates for non marathi.Still lenghth of this template will keep increasing as and when new projecs/chavadi are added.

My majior concern is how to keep width at minimum so the template does not eat in to content space of the article. and any help in improving look is most welcome .thanks and regards. विजय १०:२०, २६ जानेवारी २००७ (UTC)

अखेर विकिमिडीयावरील शासकांनी मराठी विकिपिडीयासाठीचे आकडे बदलून देवनागरी केले तर!!! याची विनंती मी तब्बल ८-१० महिन्यांपूर्वी केली असल्याचे मला आठवते.

मुखपृष्ठावर त्यामुळे गडबड झाली होती. मी ती सुधारली आहे.

मी ही सहजच एक दुवा शोधला. अर्थात त्यात शुद्धलेखनाच्या चुका आहेत. | महाराष्ट्र टाइम्समधील लेख. कोणते नाव निश्चित करावे. नेटावर सर्वत्र वापरले जाणारे सातकरणी किंवा सातकर्णी करावे का? तुम्हाला शातकरणी कोठे मिळाले, ते ही बरोबर असण्याची शक्यता आहे.

चावडी (सुचालन)

On archive(old discussion) pages I have added 'NO EDIT SECTION' so no new user would be at ease to edit old discussion.

About confusion to first time users at Madatkendra any way we will need to give links to other chavadi pages;

otherwise 'Madatakendra' will have a risk that,Madata kendra it self become a full fledged chavadi.

So in any case, some of us will need to monitor right users are going to right chavadi for right purposes.

Besides still if you feel incorrect to use this template we can make horizontal margakraman templates also which we can put at the bottom of the template. If some one is making margakraman templates for chavadi links is welcome, If not I will do that work not coming but next sunday.

Another thing is in any way I will be providing relevant help at the category wikipedia chavadi it self which is already linked at the top in this template

मलाही आवडले असते परंतु गेली सुमारे १०-१२ वर्षे मी भारताबाहेर आहे. त्यामुळे माझा भारताशी,साहित्याशी फारसा संबंध उरलेला नाही. माझ्याकडे भारतीय इतिहासापेक्षा परकिय इतिहासाचे स्रोत उपलब्ध आहेत, विश्वकोशासाठी ते ही उपयुक्तच असावेत. शिवाय भारतातील व्यक्ती माझ्यापेक्षा अधिक विश्वासार्ह इतिहास लिहू शकतील परंतु परकीय इतिहास लिहिण्यास त्यांच्याकडे फारसे स्रोत असतीलच असे सांगता येत नाही. माझ्याकडून महाराष्ट्राच्या इतिहासाला जितकी मदत होईल तितकी करेनच. हा लेख पुढच्या महिन्याच्या मुखपृष्ठावर येत आहे परंतु त्यात अनेक लाल खुणा दिसतात, त्यांच्याबद्दल मी माझ्यापरीने माहिती भरत आहे. priyambhashini १२:०२, २७ जानेवारी २००७ (UTC)

इंग्रजी ही देखिल संघराज्याची अधिकृत भाषा आहे. अनेकदा हिंदी ही राष्ट्रभाषा म्हणून समजली जाते परंतु भारतीय संविधानाने कोणत्याच भाषेला हा दर्जा दिलेला नाही.

हे मान्य आहे. आपण केलेला बदल आवडला परंतु राजभाषा हा शब्द वापरण्यापेक्षा मराठी ही देखील राष्ट्रभाषाच आहे हे अधोरेखित केले तर अधिक योग्य वाटेल असे वाटते.

वरील वाक्य खालीलप्रमाणे सुचवित आहे.

bookmark

Dear M.E.,

As you rightly said I have bookmarked those links which I use at my home pc. But the point you missed is I have a problem when I am visiting certain internet centres/ cyber cafes my book marks at home can not work. May be I can add those bookmarks at my user page.

Now the problem is I do not want to represent my self a lonely case. I hope you agree that a large majority still uses internet centres.

Even after having article विकिपीडिआ साहाय्य:Setup For Devanagari has certain limitations.This article primarily addresses issues for those who have a computer pc of which they have administrative controlls. At an internet centre usualy I do not have enough time to down load or a start a complete process of fixing marathi font. Second problem one faces at internet centres is one does noy have administrative controlls.

At internet centres what comes handy is where I can type instantly online marathi whithout downlaoding and adjsting any fonts.

Personally i can cope with technicalities given in विकिपीडिआ साहाय्य:Setup For Devanagari but for an average internet centre user it is too technical of lttile practical value and a lttle boring ( excuse me for this word) at times.

The large no. of new user IDs getting created every day are in english, a large amount of discussions on marathi wikipedia going on english,one reason is still some technical limitations do exist for an average user.

For example a new user 'J' knows Marathi very well and doing good edits but still he has not been able to cope up with the technicalities of setting up fonts. Mahitgar १९:३३, २८ जानेवारी २००७ (UTC)
