एल निन्यो

एल निन्यो व ला निन्या सागरी प्रवाह आहेत. याचा मॉन्सून च्या वाऱ्यांवर परिणाम होतो व भारतीय उपखंडात पाऊस कमी जास्त होतो.

पेरु व चिली देशांच्या किनारपट्टीवर हा परिणाम दिसतो. विषुववृतालगत पाण्याखालून वाहणारा प्रवाह कधी कधी पाण्यावर येतो. असे झाल्यास पृथ्वीवर हवामानात मोठे बदल होतात व त्याचा परिणाम जागतिक तापमान वाढीवरही होतो. एल्-निनो परिणाम चालू मोसमी वाऱ्यांना अवरोध निर्माण होउन भारतात दुष्काळ पडतो.
