Abt Bot

Its good that you are trying to maintain grammar from beforehand. I have no specific plans to lanuch the bot directly to Marathi. I intend to first present the data being used to the local community and to use bot ater the community grants its consent. Otherwise, it wont be possible for me to even differentiate between the use of two "la" that are present in Marathi or construct basic sentences that I intend to put in the stub. Anyway, I might run the bot after a month or so (as I need to complete the bot operation in Nepal Bhasa first). Thanks Eukesh, personally speaking I keep making myself a lot of mistakes in Marathi writing but I myself avoid making new articles titles when I am in doubt since a significant no. of Marathi People tend to be quite sensitive about correctness in written form. And this written form many times looks similler to hindi or sanskrit but but equal no. of times it tends to be different also.Many times we tend to confict among our selves about what is the correct form of writing any word in Marathi language. Best example of this is we Marathi Wikipedians are still not at consensus about which form is correct for writing word 'Wikipedia' in Marathi :}. Another interesting example would be , while writing word 'wiktionary' Marathi and Hindi form differes.

Your idea of getting data beforehand getting checked and modified is most welcome and takes care of my concern.Besides in Marathi wikipedia also Mr. Abhay Natu and User:Patilkedar are also managing local bots , I do not know technicalities but hope you all will technical care that these devanagari bots will work in a tandem.Thanks and compliments to you for getting started with the Bot, infact a long cherished dream! कंचनजंघा or कञ्चनजंघा which one is correct in Marathi ?

Dear Eukesh thanks for showing active interest in correcting names,usualy Marathi people are very cautious about र्‍हस्व - दीर्घ so please get it confirmed मनास्लु or मनास्लू ;मकालु or मकालू

Secondly word कांचनगंगा is more in use in Maharashtra and कांचनजंघा also being used because of hindi people so I request to redirect to कंचनजंघा ; While कञ्चनजंघा may be correct in other language ,I doubt how far showing ञ is ok in standard Marathi grammar rules . This is I am also bit confused because present marathi grammar rules do not allow it except some exception for Sanskrit words.

मराठी भूगोलाचे पुस्तक आणि ऍटलास(नकाशासंग्रह) काढून पाहिला. मराठी शब्द कांचनगंगा आणि मकालू(लू दीर्घ) आहेत.

मराठी साहित्य महामंडळाच्या नियम १.३ प्रमाणे मराठी शब्द लिहिताना अनुनासिकाच्या ऐवजी पर-सवर्ण लिहू नये. उदाहरणार्थ:-चङ्‌गळ, गञ्ज, बण्ड, धान्दल, खाम्ब असे लिहू नये. त्यामुळे काञ्चनजंघा अयोग्य. कांचनजंघा सुद्धा नको. मराठी शब्द उपलब्ध असताना परकीय शब्द वापरता येत नाहीत. तसे करायला लागलो तर पॅरिसला 'पारी', जपानला 'निप्पॉन', चीनला 'झोङ्ग्गुओ' म्हणावे लागेल.

खालील बाबतीत पर-सवर्ण वापरावा लागतो. अन्तान्त शब्द:-दुःखान्त‌, देहान्त, वेदान्त‌‌, व्यंजनान्त‌, शालान्त इ.

दोन अनुनासिकांच्या जोडाक्षरासाठी पर-सवर्ण वापरावा. उदा:- वाङ्मय, अण्णा, टण्णू, कन्नड, फन्ना, हम्मा, निम्मा , निम्न, चिन्मय इ. हिंदीप्रमाणे डान्सला 'डांस.',सन्मानला 'संमान' लिहू नये.

हंसचा उच्चार हिंदीप्रमाणे हन्स करू नये.

य, र, ल, व, ह च्या अगोदर अनुस्वार द्यावा. उदा:- संयम, संरक्षण, संलग्न, संवाद, संहती इ.

'सं'नंतर दोन अनुनासिके जोडून आली तर शक्यतो अनुस्वार द्यावा, पण त्याऐवजी पर-सवर्णपण चालतो. उदा:- संन्निध/संनिध, सम्मेलन/संमेलन, इ. अपवाद हिंदी शब्द सन्नाटा वगैरे.--J १२:४२, १६ फेब्रुवारी २००७ (UTC)

Eukesh, I had requestd J to go in to gramar details and gude how to write certain words in Marathi, for your convinience I am translating his message.

• • कांचनगंगा आणि मकालू are the words used in widely used Marathi geography books so we will need to have articles in those names.

• • As per Marathi Sahity Mahamandal's rule no. 1.3 regarding standardised writing for Marathi language usage of ञ is exceptional so we are not supposed to write काञ्चनजंघा but we need to write कांचनजंघा while pronounciation remains the same as of since काञ्चनजंघा  ; basicaly it is difference of writing style.

• • कांचनजंघा being native pronounciation it can be mentioned in article कांचनगंगा and besides we can redirect कांचनजंघा to कांचनगंगा.

May be when I get time I will translate these Marathi Language rules in English and Hindi, till then bear with us and our Marathi lanuage rules.

Eukesh, Kanchanganga has become welkown due to study books at school level, that is why that problem.

Subject to few rules (like less use in writing for ञ) we are also supposed to follow pronounciation from original language, so in case of lessere known mountains and names in Nepal your help will remain very productive , only one needs to be carefull about र्‍हस्व - दीर्घ needs to be as per actual nearest pronounciation from other languages like Nepal Bhasha or may be any other world language.

स्त्रीवाद आणि लोकसाहित्य २०२३ ही विकीमेडियन्स द्वारा स्थापन केलेली एक वार्षिक स्पर्धा आहे. विकी लव्हस फॉल्कलोरची थीम लिंगभेद कमी करणे आणि लोकांवर लक्ष केंद्रित करणे यावर आधारित आहे. अनेक आशियाई व भारतीय विकिपीडिया समुदायांनी यात भाग घेतला आहे आणि आमची अशी इच्छा आहे की आपण मराठी विकिपीडियावर आपले योगदान द्यावे. योगदानाचा मुख्य हेतू लिंग अंतर कमी करण्यात थेट प्रभाव पाडेल.

ही स्पर्धा १ फेब्रुवारी २०२३ रोजी सुरू झाली असून ३१ मार्च २०२३ रोजी समाप्त होईल. स्पर्धेतील विजेत्याला तयार केलेल्या पृष्ठांच्या संख्येच्या आधारे घोषित केले जाईल. पहिल्या विजेत्याला ३०० USD, द्वितीय विजेत्याला आणि तीसऱ्या विजेत्याला अनुक्रमे २०० USD आणि १०० USD दिले जातील. सहभाग किंवा योगदान करताना येणाऱ्या कोणत्याही समस्यांबाबत अथवा कोणत्याही मदतीसाठी ज्युरी सदस्यांच्या (संतोष गोरे किंवा Sandesh9822) चर्चा पानावर संदेश लिहा.
