मानकरी
मानकरी हे भारतीय उपखंडातील मराठा सरदार [१] [२] आणि सैन्याने [३] वापरलेले आनुवंशिक शीर्षक आहे ज्यांच्याकडे जमीन अनुदान आणि रोख भत्ते होते. [४] ते दरबार येथे अधिकृत पदावर होते आणि त्यांना न्यायालये, परिषदा, विवाहसोहळे, सण, ग्रामसभा इत्यादींमध्ये दिल्या जाणाऱ्या काही औपचारिक सन्मान आणि भेटवस्तूंचा हक्क होता. ते वेगळेपणासाठी पात्र होते आणि त्यांना दिलेला सन्मान हा त्यांच्या किंवा त्यांच्या प्रतिष्ठित पूर्वजांच्या लष्करी, नोकरशाही किंवा आर्थिक महत्त्वाचा परिणाम होता. मराठा साम्राज्याच्या विविध संस्थानांमध्ये महत्त्वाच्या पदांवर कार्यरत असलेल्या मराठा खानदानी लोकांकडून हा शब्द मोठ्या प्रमाणावर वापरला जात होता. [७] [८]
