पांढरी (लॅ.:क्रोटॉन झेलॅनिकस (क्रोटॉन रेटिक्युलेटस), कुल-यूफोर्बिएसी) हा झुडूपवजा वृक्ष श्रीलंकेत व भारतात (पश्चिम द्वीपकल्पात) सामान्यपणे आढळतो.
जमालगोटा आणि पांढरी यांचा वंश व कूल [⟶यूफोर्बिएसी] एकच असल्याने काही लक्षणे सारखीच आहेत. फांद्या, देठ व पानाची मुख्य शीर यांवर सूक्ष्म तांबूस खवले असतात. पाने साधी, मोठी, लांबट असून खालच्या बाजूस रुपेरी लव असते. उपपर्णे कुंतसम (भाल्यासारखी) फुलांची मंजरी ऑक्टोबर ते जानेवारीमध्ये शेंड्याकडे येते व त्यावर लहान, अनेक पुं-पुष्पे टोकाजवळ व थोडी स्त्री-पुष्पे तळाशी असतात. पु-पुष्पात संदले २·५ मिमी., संदलापेक्षा प्रदले थोडी आखूड केसरदले १४–२० स्त्री-पुष्पात संदले ४–६ मिमी. आणि फळाबरोबर अधिक वाढलेली किंजपुट लालसर किंजल ६ मिमी., त्रिखंडी व पुन्हा विभागलेले[⟶ फूल] बोंड लांबट (१·३ सेंमी.), साधारपणे त्रिखंडी बी गर्द जांभळट तपकिरी असून त्यावर पांढरट ठिपके असतात. या झाडाची साल जठराग्नी प्रदीप्त करते. पांढरीचे लाकूड जड, कठीण व मजबूत असून तिची काठी भूतबाधा व सर्प यांपासून संरक्षण देते अशी समजूत आहे.[१][२][३]
