'सिरीया' की 'सीरिया'?[संपादन]
या लेखाचे नाव "सीरिया' असे हवे असे वाटते. कारण 'इंडिया', 'ऑस्ट्रेलिया' यांसारखे "या" अक्षराआधीचे अक्षर(उपान्त्य अक्षर) र्हस्व लिहिले जाते. म्हणून "रि" र्हस्व हवा. तसेच उच्चारताना "See-ri-yaah" असा काहीसा उच्चार होत असल्याने "सी" हा दीर्घ लिहायला हवे असे वाटते.

सिरीयातील 'सि' sy असा लिहिला जातो. y हा र्हस्व उच्चारासाठी वापरला जातो. 'री'बद्दल संदर्भ शोधावे लागतील.

The person raising the copyright issue here should spend some more time in analyzing the e mentioned article http://epaper.esakal.com/eSakal/20120725/4621535099490570224.htm [मृत दुवा] where in the author has mention that it is taken from wikipedia (English). And the content of wikipedia I suppose is open. - Balajee (चर्चा)
- The article from Sakal seems to have "referred" some information from English Wikipedia; but the article itself is ingenuity of author. I do not find any mention by author or Sakal (publisher) that the content of the article is open to be copied/reprinted/republished as is. Please enlighten me, if this is not the case.
