Use as a title the appropriate group(s): "Species", "Subfamilies and genera"...

Discuss how subdivisions of the species/genus/family/इत्यादी are structured, describe competing scheme and current consensus. When a list of genera or species becomes too unwieldy, केवळ discuss organisation and create a "List of X genera/species" to link to.

When writing a list, list all currently recognized species, but also consider including important synonyms and disputed species, which may be used by some sources. In lists, using <small></small> around the author abbreviations is common. If the authority is given, the abbreviation should use standardized abbreviation and, where possible or appropriate, be linked (abbreviations where no लेख exists can be redirected). However, including the complete bibliographical reference in a list is unnecessary (except in a footnote).

If the list or लेख discusses the subdivisions, consider structuring the list according to those subdivisions instead of alphabetically (similar to the format found in bird लेखs).

हा विभाग should describe where the species is/are found naturally. Talk about range, where does it grow? In wetlands? Prairies? forests? Is the range changing?

This is all about interaction with environment. Talk about growth cycles, parasites and pests, or on the contrary, symbiotuc relationships. What animals or other plants feed on it? What types of soils does it grow best on? (though this particuar information may often be better discussed under अधिवास). When does it flower, what is the pollination mechanism? How does it interact with various natural processes affecting such as season changes, bushfires and draught? Is the plant invasive or allelopathic?

Conservation संरक्षण(वैकल्पिक)[संपादन]

If there are conservation concerns regarding the species or some of its members, discuss them. What it the status and why?

Cultivation शेतकी उत्पादन(वैकल्पिक)[संपादन]

हा विभाग Should केवळ be used where cultivation is a major aspect of the plant or group, such as with crops and major ornamentals (i.e. roses, tulips). Otherwise, it should be a subsection under "Uses".

Typically, it would list the general purpose/location of cultivation (farms, gardens, landscaping, etc), and something about different cultivated varieties. Say what part of the plant it is grown for (roots, flowers, leaves, etc). Give a general idea of the best growing conditions (climate, growth season,...), but not so much as to make the लेख a .

For खाद्य वनस्पती or other crops grown on a large scale, potential statistics to includes:

  • total annual production/harvest worldwide
  • top ten country production figures
  • annual consumption per capita in various countries
  • import/export flows
  • wholesale and retail prices
  • production per acre
  • inputs: labor, water, fertilizer, weed killer, insecticide per acre and per kilo of food production
  • environmental/sustainability aspects

Exactly what it says on the tin: what is it used for? Examples of use include:

Note that in many cases, cultivation is better discussed in हा विभाग than separately. If a use is particularly important or the plant has केवळ one major use, list it separately with an appropriatee header.

Please include a direct parent वर्ग in the taxonomy whenever possible; for a species, the family is likely an available वर्ग. For a family, the order is probably available.

There are some additional subcategories that may be helpful, such as वर्ग:Herbs, वर्ग:Legumes, वर्ग:Edible plants, and so on. पहा the subcategories under वर्ग:वनस्पती); most of the subcategories listed there have lower-level subcategories that may fit better. Multiple categories may be relevant.
