I apologise that I cannot reply in Marathi right now since I am not very good a it and I am short of time. I would like to reply to your lengthy message but I don't see your point. You started off by stating that the article is incomplete but then go on to complain about Konkani itself. So what are you trying to say? Your lengthy message is not so much about the artilce itself. You pick up selective half truths and imaginative points to run down Konkani.

Anyways, tet me point out some obivous errors:.

  • कोकणी भाषेला स्वतंत्र लिपी नसल्याने आणि ती भाषा बोलण्याचे अनेक प्रकार असल्याने तिला राष्ट्रभाषेचा मान नव्हता. Having an independent script is not a necessity for a langage to be recognised as a national languge. Devanagiri script is shared by four languages. And evry language (including Marathi) has various dialects. The only languages that do not have dialects are artificial languages.
  • गोव्यात बोलल्या जाणार्‍या तीन कोकंणी, महाराष्ट्रात बोलल्या जाणार्‍या ४-५, गुजराथमध्ये बोलल्या जाणा‍र्‍या ३, मेंगलोरी बोलतात ती आणखी एक, शिवाय तुळू वगैरे अनेक बोलींचा कोकणीत समावेश होतो. . You have exculded 80 % of the Konkani speaking population and based your opinion on 20% of speakers. Again here, you are assuming that all Konkani Hindus in Goa speak the same dialect. NAyway the dalect you have picekd up is Antruzi which is a highly Sanskritised version of Konkani spoken by a miniscule percentage of the population. Given Marathi's closeness to SDanskrit , it is obvious that a Marathi can easily understand(or rather , in my experience, think that they understand) this dialect.
  • कानडी माणसे बोलतात ती कोकणी : Kannadigas speak Konkani? Then who speaks Kannada?--डी. डी. १८:१३, १३ मार्च २००८ (UTC)
