के२ हा एव्हरेस्ट खालोखाल सर्वात उंच पर्वत असून त्याची उंची उंची ८६११ मी इतकी आहे. हे शिखर सध्या पाकव्याप्त काश्मीर मध्ये आहे व पाक-चीन च्या सरहद्दी नजीक आहे.[१][२] गिर्यारोहकांमध्ये के२ पर्वताला जंगली मानले जाते कारण चढाई करण्यात हे शिखर जगातील सर्वात अवघड शिखर मानले जाते. आकडेवारी नुसार या पर्वतावर गिर्यारोहण करणारे ४ पैकी १ गिर्यारोहकाचा म्रुत्यू होतो.
